Call for Photographers: Participate in VOX – Brussels Photo Voices 2026

The Corpus | Corpus collective is pleased to announce the second edition of VOX – Brussels Photo Voices, a photography event open to professional and amateur photographers, as well as photography collectives.

VOX 2026 aims to highlight the work of both established and emerging photographers by promoting inclusion, cultural diversity, and the wide range of approaches within the photographic medium.

For its second edition, VOX invites you to join this artistic adventure, which will take place in Brussels throughout November 2026.

What is VOX – Brussels Photo Voices?

Vox in an inclusive photography event that was launched in 2025 by the Photography Collective Corpus Corpus.

The very first edition took place from 21 February to 8 March 2025 on the theme ‘Body Matters”. It showcased the work of 10 international emerging and established photographers across 4 exhibition venues, while promoting inclusion, cultural diversity and a plurality of approaches to the photographic medium. Held across various venues in Brussels (Ixelles and Etterbeek neighbourhoods), the festival offered an artistic journey through which audiences could discover a diversity of perspectives, practices and narratives through photography.

True to its participatory and bottom-up approach, the collective launched an open call inviting artists and photographers to submit their own exhibition projects. The call generated strong interest and received 14 applications, contributing to the development of a rich and diverse programme.

Who can participate?

VOX is open to all photographic artists—professional and/or amateur—as well as artist collectives whose practice centers on photography (analog, digital, AI-generated, etc.). We encourage a diversity of artistic expressions and approaches.

A curated official exhibition

Theme: "Body of Evidence"

Body of Evidence explores the instability of evidence by shifting it toward the human body, understood as a living archive of traces and contradictions. Between visibility and interpretation, the exhibition questions the norms that make certain bodies legible or credible. It challenges the image as a vehicle of truth and invites the viewer to become an interpreter. Here, evidence does not provide conclusions—it opens a space of uncertainty and evolving meaning.

Submission requirements

• Submit 3–10 images.

• Images must be in JPEG format.

• Resolution: 2000 pixels on the longest side.

• Limit your total series size to less than 20 MB

• Images must not contain any signature, watermark, or artist identification.

• File names should follow this format:

  • LastName_FirstName_VOX26_01.jpeg

• Include:

  • A short artist biography (maximum 600 characters).

  • A brief description introducing the series and its concept (maximum 600 characters).

Participation is open to photographers of ALL ages and ALL nationalities.

VOX OFF

Find an exhibition space that suits you (gallery, cultural center, shop, café/bar/restaurant, studio, your own home, etc.).

You are free to choose your images, themes, and exhibition design. You are fully responsible for organizing your exhibition.

Participation requirements

Participation is open to photographers of all ages and nationalities.

Participating artists and collectives agree to:

• Use the VOX logo in their printed and digital communications (including social media).

• Follow the Instagram accounts @Corpus_Corpus_expos and @vox_brussels_photo_voices.

• Tag #vox_brussels_photo_voices in their social media posts.

Who are we?

CORPUS | CORPUS is a photography platform created by photographers for photographers.

Launched in 2023, the platform aims to increase the visibility of emerging photographers through exhibitions, portfolio reviews, and other artistic activities. It was founded by visual artists Elisa La Gala and Said Hammouch, whose artistic practices revolve around the theme of the body.

Aware of the challenges photographers face in gaining visibility within today's photography landscape, the founders decided to use their experience to support other emerging photographers.

The platform's first initiative was the organization of a collective exhibition featuring international photographers as part of the 8th Photo Brussels Festival. The exhibition's success encouraged the founders to continue developing new initiatives to support photographers and create opportunities for artistic exchange.

QU’EST-CE QUE VOX – Brussels Photo Voices ?

VOX est un événement photographique inclusif lancé en 2025 par le collectif de photographes Corpus Corpus. La toute première édition s’est déroulée du 21 février au 8 mars 2025 autour du thème « Body Matters ». Cet appel a suscité un vif intérêt et a reçu 14 candidatures, contribuant ainsi à l’élaboration d’une programmation riche et diversifiée.

Qui peut participer ?

VOX est ouvert à tou·te·s les artistes photographes — professionnel·le·s et/ou amateur·rice·s — ainsi qu’aux collectifs d’artistes dont la pratique est centrée sur la photographie (argentique, numérique, générée par IA, etc.). Nous encourageons la diversité des expressions et des approches artistiques.

VOX ON

Une exposition officielle, sur sélection

Thème : « Body of Evidence »

Body of Evidence explore l’instabilité de la preuve en la déplaçant vers le corps humain, considéré comme une archive vivante de traces et de contradictions. Entre visibilité et interprétation, l’exposition interroge les normes qui rendent certains corps lisibles ou crédibles. Elle remet en question l’image comme vecteur de vérité et invite le spectateur à devenir interprète. Ici, la preuve n’apporte pas de conclusions : elle ouvre un espace d’incertitude et de sens en constante évolution.

Conditions de soumission

● Soumettre 3 à 10 images.

● Les images doivent être au format JPEG.

● Résolution : 2000 pixels sur le côté le plus long.

● Limiter la taille totale de la série à moins de 20 Mo.

● Les images ne doivent comporter aucune signature, aucun filigrane ni aucune identification de l’artiste.

● Les noms des fichiers doivent respecter le format suivant :

○ Nom_Prénom_VOX26_01.jpeg

● Inclure :

○ Une courte biographie de l’artiste (600 caractères maximum).

○ Une brève description présentant la série et son concept (600 caractères maximum).

La participation est ouverte aux photographes de TOUS âges et de TOUTES nationalités.

VOX OFF

Trouvez un lieu d’exposition qui vous convient (galerie, centre culturel, commerce, café/bar/restaurant, studio, votre propre domicile, etc.).

Vous êtes libre de choisir vos images, votre thème et la conception de votre exposition. Vous êtes entièrement responsable de l’organisation de votre exposition.

La participation est GRATUITE !

CONDITIONS DE PARTICIPATION

La participation est ouverte aux photographes de tous âges et de toutes nationalités.

Les artistes et collectifs participant·e·s s’engagent à :

● Utiliser le logo VOX dans leurs communications imprimées et numériques (y compris sur les réseaux sociaux).

● Suivre les comptes Instagram @Corpus_Corpus_expos et @vox_brussels_photo_voices.

● Utiliser le hashtag #vox_brussels_photo_voices dans leurs publications sur les réseaux sociaux.

La première initiative de la plateforme a été l’organisation d’une exposition collective réunissant des photographes internationaux·ales dans le cadre de la 8e édition du Photo Brussels Festival. Le succès de cette exposition a encouragé les fondateur·rice·s à poursuivre le développement de nouvelles initiatives visant à soutenir les photographes et à créer des opportunités d’échanges artistiques.
